  • So you booted recovery media after fiddling with things all weekend, you created a backup and attempted to restore it to a spare disk. Keep in mind that we MVP's are a community of users who volunteer our time to help others with problems. With more information about your recovery attempt we might be able to help. tibx files are inter-dependent on all the other files in the backup chain, including the 12kb metadata file when present, so all files should be present for a recovery. not removed or deleted any files? Thanks again, and I'm sorry for coming off rude, but Acronis really needs to re-think their entire Recovery Media approach (don't get me started on all the confusion with the Universal Restore Thing). Paradoxically, even though the Linux option worked, I really can't in good consciousness this a "solution". I can't believe that Acronis' final fix is to have windows users counter-intuitively use the Linux option. wim file seems to be the nexus for people who have issues in this area. The Linux option worked, but seriously? This. (Advanced > WinPE-based media > Windows 10) Options I've used (Downloaded and installed both Windows ADK and PE kit)
